Click to expand.I found my Terminal.app is indeed sluggish, though I haven't found other people complaining about this, so I'm guessing the issue is not common. The issue I'm having is, the Terminal.app became extremely sluggish when it have to render some color texts. When I turn-off syntax coloring, the speed of vim back to normal. When I turn-on syntax coloring, it takes a couple seconds to scroll one line up. And it is not even limited to vim.

To return to NORMAL mode after changing to a different mode, press Esc. It's a good idea to map your Caps Lock key to Esc, as it's closer and nobody really uses the Caps Lock key. It's hard to do these mappings in the console version. Having a GUI also means you can Cmd-Tab through them, use it in fullscreen, etc. Basically MacVim feels more like a Mac program.
