I recently purchased Office 2016 to use on my personal computer. Prior to this, I'd been using 2001, but have worked extensively with 2010 and 2013. Since installing it, I have encountered an issue unique to Excel in which the framerate in the spreadsheet window drops significantly.

Initially it was always this file but very quickly all Excel files had the same problem, opening files directly on the local machine. If I open Excel first, then the file – no problem. This could be a total coincidence but would anyone have any thoughts on this sequence of events as a contributing factor? I am having the same issue at a local tax office.
