You dont even have a single justification for anything you've said. I'd be sympathetic to the plea of 'I dont have a reliable internet connection where i live' but 'an invasion of privacy' to a piece of software the doesn't collect any data on you and has an offline mode specifically meant for that? You're just jumping the gun here and going on hearsay. I have heard several horror stories about Steam from friends, from virusus to corrupting PCs after removal. I don't know whether it's true or not, but regardless, I don't need Steam to play a game that I took a trip to the store to purchase and paid full retail price. I find it an invasion of my PC privacy when any company tries to install 3rd party applicaitons on my personal computer. Ploys like this are party of the reason why I rarely purchase PC games anymore.
